R4 Ebf Stallions Upavon Fillies' Stakes Listed

Saeed bin Suroor is delighted to have Albasharah back on the racecourse after an absence of over a year in the EBF Stallions Upavon Fillies' Stakes at Salisbury on Wednesday.

Though Bin Suroor expects the five-year-old mare to need the outing, the Godolphin trainer feels she should put up a good show in this Listed contest.

Albasharah suffered an injury when she reared upon leaving the stalls and unseated Kieren Fallon in the Lyric Stakes at York last July.

A big run had looked likely on the Knavesmire as she had finished a close third to Emirates Queen in the Group Two Lancashire Oaks on her previous start.

"She's doing well and is working nicely. This is the right race for her," he said.

"She had a problem last year at York in the stalls. She has recovered from the injury she had there and now she is in good form and we expect a good run from her."
