"Probably will aim to give trainer David Wachman his second winner of the prestigious Keeneland Ph**nix Stakes at the Curragh this Sunday when he lines up among 9 runners in the Group 1 contest. The recent winner of the Dubai Duty Free Railway Stakes will face tough competition from the Aidan O’Brien trained pair of Pedro The Great and Cristoforo Colombo, while recent Goodwood winner Bungle inthejungle is the sole British trained entry."

"Maarek faces seven rivals as he returns from a mid-season break in Sunday's Ph**nix Sprint Stakes at the Curragh.
Victorious in the Abbaye at last year's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe meeting when trained by Barry Lalor, Maarek made a good start for new handler Evanna McCutcheon winning one of his four starts in the spring.
The seven-year-old tasted Duke of York Stakes success on the Knavesmire in May before chasing home subsequent dual Group One winner Slade Power when last seen over six furlongs at the Curragh in May.
Maarek relishes cut in the ground and McCutcheon is keen to get him back on track now that some rain has arrived."

Freddy Head fields Thawaany as he goes in search of an incredible seventh win since 2006 in Sunday's Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville.
While Thawaany could not be held in the same regard as Head's two previous three-time winners of the Group One, Marchand D'Or and Moonlight Cloud, the four-year-old is an improving type.
The filly has won four of her eight career starts, and Head does not think she will be inconvenienced by the likely very soft ground as much as some of the others in the race."

" Rio Tigre makes his Pattern debut in the Group Three OSAF Prix de Reux over an extended mile & a half at Deauville, France, on Sunday, August 10.

The Andre Fabre-trained three-year-old steps up in class following a pair victories over 12 furlongs. He posted a cosy success in a Listed contest at Nantes on June 30 and battled gamely to take a conditions race at Angers on May 20."

Good luck all
