Starting on Saturday TAB punters will be able to bet on two separate ‘quaddies’ on the major Melbourne and Sydney meetings.

The TAB today launched the ‘Early Quaddie’, a four-race quaddie that will operate on early races on both the premier Melbourne and Sydney meetings.

The Newmarket Handicap meeting at Flemington on Saturday will now have an ‘Early Quaddie’ on races 2 – 5, with the ‘normal’ quaddie on the last six races on that nine-race card.

The Chipping Norton Stakes meeting at Warwick Farm in Sydney will have its ‘Early Quaddie’ on races 1 – 4 with the normal quaddie on the last four races on that eight-race program.

"Our research indicates that the Quaddie has a special place with our customers,” the TAB’s Glenn Lee said today.

"The Early Quaddie will give these customers the chance of investing on their favourite bet type twice on the one card,” he added.

“The initial roll out will be on the major meetings only.

"We will look to expand the offering down the track subject to customer demand.”
