Ballina R1 #4 Miggeru - very well bred lightly raced type by Northern Meteor out of the high class Thunder Gulch mare Pasikatera who won the G3 Breeder's Classic and 4 other Listed races, trial winner at Randwick prior to debut in May 13 and also win another trial at Randwick prior to 1st up effort this prep, 1st up this prep finished 2nd at Kembla Grange beaten 0.1l in a had bobbing go when nutted on the wire by one with a much softer trip, form out of that race since franked, looks clearly well above par for the maiden tag on offer here, hasnt handled wet ground adeptly in short career but is lengths better than these and should still be able to win with the big class edge over it foes.

Ballina R2 #1 Zigbee - well bred type by Sebring out of the Fusaichi Pegasus mare Tears Roll Down who herself was a 1400m winner and is a half sister to G1 winner Ball Park, deceivingly good effort when 2nd under trial conditions prior to debut beating home a few smart older types amonst others, handled the wet ok on debut when 4th at Newcastle over 900m doing its best work on the line, overall depth of that race does look decent, extra 355m here suits it down to the ground and is on a quick 2 day back up, scope for more and if it has come through that 1st career effort 2 days ago ok then it will take a power of beating here, trainer known for backing up horses very quickly with good success.

Sapphire Coast R3 #4 Rustle Of Silk - decently bred lightly raced improver by Street Boss out of a city winning Rustic Amber mare who also produced the multiple stakes placed Vecchia Roma, winner 3 from 7 in short career and put those together on end before rising in class last time out to take on Warwick Farm city midweek company, dwelt that day and lost all hope, tailed off, forgive the run, broke maiden at Cowra making all 4 back to score by 3l, then went to Goulburn to make it 2 on end scoring by 2l coming from last over 1000m when tardily away, made it 3 on end scoring by 0.2l 2 starts ago over 1000m on this track, gives every impressieon it will handle the wet ground going on racing action and breeding, looks clearly superior to this lot and has good scope for more, ticks all the right boxes.

Donald R2 #9 Gold A Plenty - well bred for this sort of trip by New Approach out of the Unfuwain mare Witwatersand who is a half sister to Splendid Era, 2nd dam won the UAE Oaks D'Italia G1 and was 2nd in the Prix Vermille G1 and 3rd in the Irish Oaks G1, this one comes into this having its 10th career start and 2 starts ago looked very good over 1600m when 2nd to Rasa Lila despite being beaten 6l that day, also looked well above average when 3rd to Tupac Amaru & Razzle Dazzle Rock over 1600m at Ballarat at the end of last prep, forgive for last start 4th of 6 in a small field at Kyneton when not suited by the pace, rock hard fit and ready to win now, new career peak expected, clearly the one to beat.
