Race 1: Benchmark 70 Handicap (1600m) – 12:35pm

Tip: No. 7 Tycoon Bec

Tycoon Bec won all three of her races during her first preparation culminating in an impressive 1.5 lengths win at Flemington back in January.

She returned a nice effort when finishing third at Geelong over 1500m and will take plenty of benefit from that run.

Race 2: Benchmark 78 Handicap (1400m) – 1:10pm

Tip: No. 6 Maybe The Best

Maybe The Best is a mare with a heap of natural ability and she has been racing consistently right throughout this prep.

She has finished inside the top two in all four of her runs so far and she should be nearing peak fitness now.

The daughter of I Am Invincible has drawn to get a nice run in transit from barrier two and is the one to beat.

Race 3: Benchmark 78 Handicap (1000m) – 1:45pm

Tip: No. 6 Galenus

Galenus has made the trip over to the mainland to kick start his campaign in a very winnable race.

The Scott Brunton trained five year old has won five of his eight career starts and has been unplaced only once.

His two trial wins leading into this first up assignment suggest he is ready to go and he represents good value at his current price.

Race 4: Benchmark 70 Handicap (1000m) – 2:20pm

Tip: No. 3 Unflinching

The Freedman camp has a handy colt on their hands in the form of this I Am Invincible colt who is unbeaten in his two career starts.

He’s won both his start over 1000m by a combined five lengths and this race doesn’t look any harder than his last assignment at The Valley.

Race 5: 9Mile Fresh Handicap (1600m) – 3:00pm

Tip: No. 8 Riot And Rose

Peter Moody saddles up the favourite in the fifth race of the afternoon with his grey gelding Riot And Rose.

He tasted defeat for the first time when finishing fourth at Flemington last start but he was beaten only half a length in that contest.

He will be nearing peak fitness at his third run this prep and this is a very winnable race for him.

Race 6: Open Handicap (1200m) – 3:40pm

Tip: No. 1 Blazejowski

Blazejowski was impressive when finishing fourth first up at Cranbourne in the Apache Cat Classic, beaten under two lengths.

He was a two lengths winner at his only start at this track and distance and will take plenty of benefit from that first up effort.

Race 7: Listed Pakenham Cup (2500m) – 4:20pm

Tip: No. 8 Smokin’ Romans

Smokin’ Romans is a progressive type of horse who seems to be peaking at the right time to tackle the Listed Pakenham Cup.

He was narrowly denied in the Group 3 Bendigo Cup last start and he has been kept fresh for this assignment.

Jamie Kah returns from suspension to climb aboard which is only a positive.

Race 8: VOBIS Gold Bullion (1400m) – 5:00pm

Tip: No. 1 Yulong January

Yulong January closed out his campaign last time in with back to back wins at headquarters over 1400m.

He has managed nine wins from his 22 career race starts and this is a very winnable race for him first up from a spell.

Seven of his nine wins have been over 1400m and he has drawn to get a lovely run in transit from barrier four with the in form Jye McNeil in the saddle.

Race 9: Benchmark 78 Handicap (2000m) – 5:40pm

Tip: Boxed Trifecta 3/4/6/10/12
