Double Delight for Ethan Brown at Caulfield Once More

Ethan Brown, earmarked for Hong Kong duties, fired another Caulfield double spaced three days apart, masterminding divergent conquests atop twin favourites at the Heath’s Super Bowl Monday rendezvous.

In the third race, Brown unleashed gelding Yes Yoshi ($1.65) for a powerful conquest, then pipped the post with She’s A Hustler ($1.50) races further in.

His two bookings, Yes Yoshi and She’s A Hustler, saw first-time race alliances.

She’s A Hustler for Ciaron Maher reversed a hat-trick of favourite flops early in her return, but Brown insisted the awkward start amplified the significance of her razor-thin success on the expansive layout.

“It’s hard being back and wide around this track and I know she’s only won by the barest of margins, but there was a lot more merit (to the win) than it looked,” he said.

“She’s on the way up. She’s a very nice horse going forward and (there’s) no better way to kick off your prep.”

A daughter of Trapeze Artist, She’s An Artist boasts three wins from six, scraping home short-half-head over Excess ($13) in the 1100m BM78, Along The River ($6) looming a length away third.

Yes Yoshi gifted Brown a dream run, the progeny of Yes Yes Yes notching win two from two emphatically by 1-1/4 lengths against Savitri in Class 1 1200m fare.

The Charlotte Littlefield inmate, raw yet gifted, surpassed his Sale debut smash with aplomb, as Brown enthused:

“He’s a big baby at the minute, but for him to win like that and show that sort of ability as immature as he is is quite exciting going forward,” Brown said.

Complementing Saturday’s Observer and Light Infantry Man brace, this hoisted Brown alongside Craig Williamson on 29 for metro jockeys’ honours, seven from Mark Zahra nursing an injury.

Brown’s weekend-locked Hong Kong pact for season’s close bites into his Victorian slate markedly.

Jamie Mott and Logan Bates matched Brown’s feat with doubles on the septet of races.

Fans should compare options in betting markets for the race from premier providers.
