Two dynamic youngsters have quickly become horses of interest after delivering striking debut performances at Sydney and Melbourne racetracks on Monday, with black-type races already in their sights.
Blind Raise ($3.20), from the Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young yard, impressed greatly at Sandown with a 2¼-length domination of the Happy 50th to Nick and Jamie Gold Handicap (1400m).

The stable moved fast to detail the gelding’s program, highlighting the Listed Anzac Day Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on April 25 as a prime option.
“It was good to see as when they trial up like that at home and then you always want to see them do it on race day,” Busuttin said.
“He’s very calm and I was surprised how calm he was saddling up.”
Foaled by Group 1 Victoria Derby and Spring Champion Stakes champ Ace High, Blind Raise’s steady character marks him as special.
“He has just been bombproof the whole way through,” Busuttin added, stressing that the colt’s poise defies expectations for his stock.
Across at Rosehill, Chris Waller’s Blitzgal ($2.50) emerged strongly, claiming a 3¾-length win in the Drinkwise Plate (1400m).
Waller maintains significant progress is on the cards beyond this effort.
“It was a very good display on debut,” Waller said.
“She still did a few things wrong and was wayward in the straight.
She was a little bit keen and wobbled when Zac (Lloyd) asked her to come off heels and accelerate.”
Zac Lloyd, aboard, expressed confidence, noting her speed from the gates and front-running prowess as key for later races.
