CF.Orr Stakes Tips, Bets and Race Preview – 2022

Given its position on the calendar, it’s arguably the most highly anticipated Group 1 of the year, and the Neds C.F. Orr Stakes headlines an enormous program at Caulfield on Saturday.

Some of the country’s best horses are engaged in the Neds C.F. Orr Stakes field, and we’ll get our first look at the likes of I’m Thunderstruck and Cascadian in 2022.

Of course, a race like this one couldn’t pass without an in-depth analysis, and you can find my complete 2022 Neds C.F. Orr Stakes Tips below.

Neds C.F. Orr Stakes – Winner – No. 1 I’m Thunderstruck

His fresh record is unblemished, he one of the country’s brightest prospects, and I think that I’m Thunderstruck will launch his campaign with a win in the Neds C.F. Orr Stakes.

I’m Thunderstruck enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence in 2021, recording a total of six wins and two minors from his nine starts.

He kept all of his best work for late when filling the minors of the Neds Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes over this route in September, broke through for his maiden win at the highest level in the Toorak Handicap, and closed his year with another lucrative win in The Golden Eagle.

He has reportedly flourished in his time away from the track, and I am happy to have I’m Thunderstruck as my 2022 Neds C.F. Orr Stakes winner.

Neds C.F. Orr Stakes – 2nd – No. 7 Sinawann

Irish import Sinawann hasn’t returned a poor effort since arriving in Australia, and he can fight out the finish of the Neds C.F. Orr Stakes.

Having found form around some world-class horses in some good races earlier in his career, the Kingman entire finished sixth in the Group 3 Chatham Stakes at Flemington on debut in Australia before recording an eye-catching win in the Group 3 Kevin Heffernan.

His late work when resuming in the Australia Stakes was arguably the best of the race, and this actually looks the perfect feature for him.

Neds C.F. Orr Stakes – 3rd – No. 3 Behemoth

Behemoth is another galloper who will enjoy plenty of improvement from a competitive first-up effort, and he is generally at his best over the Caulfield 1400m.

Unlucky not to record his first Group 1 victory during his three-year-old season, Behemoth has continued to improve as he has matured, and he is the owner of three Group 1 victories, interestingly all at this track and trip.

Jamie Kah finally jumps into the saddle this week, and he can fight out the finish of the Neds C.F. Orr Stakes.

Neds C.F. Orr Stakes – 4th – No. 12 Lightsaber

I thought that Lightsaber’s resuming effort for fourth in the Australia Stakes was promising, and he too can fight out the finish of the Neds C.F. Orr Stakes.

Lightsaber was excellent during his two-year-old campaign and won the VRC Sires’ Produce over 1400m most notably.

He continued to impress during a spring preparation that was highlighted by a win in the Neds Caulfield Guineas Prelude over this route, and gets into this contest well as a three-year-old.
