Race 1: 12:55pm – Benchmark 78 Handicap, (2400m)

Tip: No. 4 Suppression

Suppression closed out his last prep in the Group 1 South Australian Derby when finishing ninth, beaten over 11 lengths.

The son of Mongolian Khan has been excellent in three runs so far this prep at unsuitable distances including a 2.25 length win at Mornington last start.

The Chris Waller trained four year old will appreciate the step up in distance and is the horse to beat.

Race 2: 1:35pm – Highway Handicap, (1500m)

Tip: No. 11 Andorra La Vella

It takes a progressive horse with upside to win these Highway Handicaps and Andorra La Vella fits this profile well.

The lightly raced four year old mare comes into this race off the back of back to back wins at Scone and Muswellbrook.

Tim Clark rides from barrier three.

Race 3: 2:15pm – Benchmark 78 Handicap, (1800m)

Tip: No. 4 Shibli

The Chris Waller trained Shibli put together two wins in a row at Gosford and Rosehill before finishing fifth as favourite last start.

The grey gelding found the line well despite being beaten and he has drawn to get a nice run throughout this race from barrier two.

Tommy Berry steers.

Race 4: 2:55pm – Benchmark 78 Handicap, (1100m)

Tip: No. 4 Seleque

Seleque has two wins and a second from three first up runs during her short racing career.

The daughter of Deep Field has been a consistent performer, placing in eight of her 12 career starts.

She won at this distance when resuming her last prep and her trial leading in suggests she is ready to go.

Race 5: 3:35pm – Country Classic, (2000m)

Tip: No. 16 Birdonawinningpost

Five year old mare Birdonawinningpost has managed to place in seven of her 15 career starts which includes four wins.

She is a very progressive type of mare who was beaten less than two lengths in the Cessnock Cup at her last start.

The daughter of Shooting To Win has drawn to get a nice run in transit from barrier four and represents great value at $27 at time of publish.

Race 6: 4:10pm – Midway Handicap, (1300m)

Tip: No. 4 Pandora Blue

Pandora Blue has put together two impressive wins in a row by a combined 3.5 lengths now including a very similar grade of race last time out.

She is being asked to carry three more kilos for this assignment but she is still the one to beat in a race that lacks a whole heap of depth.

Race 7: 4:50pm – Golden Gift, (1100m)

Tip: No. 5 Shalatin

Shalatin made up a huge amount of ground late in the Kirkham Plate when making his racing debut two weeks ago.

The run was tough to miss and the step up in distance to 1100m will suit.

Jay Ford retains the ride and will steer from barrier five.

Race 8: 5:25pm – Group 2 Hot Danish Stakes, (1400m)

Tip: No. 3 Nudge

Forget Nudge went around in The Invitation at Randwick last start.

The consistent mare was given a horror ride by Glyn Schofield and it is a relief to see Tommy Berry take the sit.

This is a competitive race with some pretty handy mares but the each way odds looks appealing.

Race 9: 6:10pm – Benchmark 78 Handicap, (1200m)

Tip: No. 5 Kinloch

The Kris Lees trained Kinloch has returned two nice efforts so far this prep and will strip fitter for this third up race.

He was beaten four lengths in a benchmark 88 behind Quantico at Randwick last start and will appreciate the steep drop in grade for this assignment.

Race 10: 6:45pm – Benchmark 78 Handicap, (1400m)

Tip: Boxed Trifecta 1/3/8/12

Let’s box them up in the last and get a big result!
