Inglis Sires’ Tips, Bets and Race Preview – 2022

This season’s two-year-old features have proven to be wide open affairs, and there’s a case to be made for nearly every galloper in the Group 1 Inglis Sires’ at Royal Randwick on Day 1 of The Championships.

Fireburn saluted at a big price in the Golden Slipper a fortnight ago, and she has opened a pretty popular favourite in 2022 Inglis Sires’ betting after drawing ideally on Tuesday.

I’ve had a crack, and you can find my 2022 Inglis Sires’ Tips below.

Suggested Bets

  • 3 Units E/W #7 Magic
  • Boxed Trifecta of the selections below

Inglis Sires’ – Winner – No. 7 Magic

He remains a maiden and I’m sure some people will think that I am mad, but I think that Magic will win the Inglis Sires’.

By Snitzel and out of multiple Group 1 winner Rising Romance, Magic is bred to win, and he debuted with an impressive effort for second, beaten half a length by Best Of Bordeaux in the Silver Slipper.

He was luckless, but kept his best work for late when third in the Pago Pago Stakes last time out, and I love that Team Hawkes elected to miss the Slipper and instead target this race, because 1400m looks perfect.

Inglis Sires’ – 2nd – No. 12 Fireburn

She was very, very impressive in the Golden Slipper and of course, Fireburn wouldn’t look out of place in the Inglis Sires’ winner’s stall.

The daughter of Rebel Dane finished fourth on debut in maiden company at Warwick Farm in December and hasn’t taken a backwards step since, winning each of her four subsequent starts in impressive fashion.

Brenton Avdulla understandably stays aboard and if she holds her form, she’ll be in the finish.

Inglis Sires’ – 3rd – No. 13 She’s Extreme

She’s Extreme takes her place in the Inglis Sires’ field following something of a disappointing effort in the Slipper, but there isn’t as much depth in this race, and she can atone with another good performance.

The Extreme Choice filly finished second behind Fireburn in the Sweet Embrace Stakes at Randwick in February, and she charged in to score in the Magic Night Stakes before finishing midfield in the Slipper.

She steps out this week in peak order, and she does look to be up to winning something of this quality.

Inglis Sires’ – 4th – No. 3 Let’srollthedice

Let’srollthedice takes a unique formline into the Inglis Sires’ and could prove to be the real surprise packet.

Not really a surprise packet though, because he has recorded two wins from as many career starts to date, and I thought he was pretty impressive in the VRC Sires’ Produce at Flemington last time out.

Fitter third-up and under Damian Lane, he can make his presence felt.
