Maurice Handicap (1600m) – 3:25pm AEDT

Tip: No. 3 Master Delight

Master Delight takes winning form into the first at the Hong Kong International Races and looks well placed to make it two in a row.

The four-year-old son of Rubick ran home well to finish fourth with 60kgs in two here in October, and he couldn’t have been more impressive at this track and trip last time.

This is harder, but he can make the step up.

Beauty Generation Handicap (1400m) – 3:55pm AEDT

Tip: No. 6 Good Runner

Good Runner will take plenty of improvement into the Beauty Generation Handicap, and he looks a winning chance at a nice price.

The Starcraft gelding returned some handy efforts last time in, and he kept his best work for last when second, beaten just over half a length here when resuming.

The addition of Zac Purton obviously doesn’t dent his chances, and he can fight out the finish.

Jim And Tonic Handicap (1800m) – 4:25pm AEDT

Tip: No. 3 Entrusted

Last-start winner Entrusted looms as the runner to beat again in the third at Sha Tin on Sunday.

The son of Nathaniel has returned several pleasing performances since resuming this time, winning twice in four starts back, highlighted by his most-recent effort over 2000m.

The small drop in trip should only suit, and he can make every post a winner.

Group 1 Hong Kong Vase (2400m) – 5:00pm AEDT

Tip: No. 1 Pyledriver

The day’s first Group 1 feature has drawn an outstanding field of stayers, including Pyledriver.

Pyledriver has been a strong and consistent performer throughout his career in the UK, and ended his campaign with an impressive win in the Group 1 Coronation Cup.

He picked up where he left off with a lovely win in the Listed Churchill Stakes at Lingfield last month, and he will only improve second-up and out to a mile and a half.

Group 1 Hong Kong Sprint (1200m) – 5:40pm AEDT

Tip: No. 6 Sky Field

Pixie Knight has opened a pretty clear favourite in Hong Kong Sprint betting, but I can make a case for a few here, and I am going to take him on.

The one that I think have made a real impact at a price is Sky Field.

Sky Field has had three starts back this time, placing twice, including an eye-catching effort in the Group 2 Jockey Club Sprint last time.

He has a fitness edge over a couple of key rivals and we can have an each-way play at around the $12 mark.

Lord Kanaloa Handicap (1200m) – 6:15pm AEDT

Tip: No. 11 California Spangle

California Spangle seemingly doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and he looms as the runner to beat again in the sixth at Sha Tin this week.

The Starspangledbanner gelding’s condition just gave out when he was nabbed on the line here first-up, but he enjoyed plenty of improvement into his last-start win in a dominant contest.

Fitter third-up, he is my best bet on the program.

Group 1 Hong Kong Mile (1600m) – 6:50pm AEDT

Tip: SRM: #1 Win/#3 Top 3

Golden Sixty has opened a clear and justifiable favourite in Hong Kong Mile betting.

The Medaglia D’Oro gelding has won eighteen of his nineteen career starts, and he only need to be close to his best to win this again.

I’m going to have a Same Race Multi, and add value to my ticket with Indy Champ running into the first three.

Group 1 Hong Kong Cup (2000m) – 7:30pm AEDT

Tip: No. 12 Loves Only You

The Hong Kong Cup looks to be a race in two between Dubai Honour and Loves Only You, and I am leaning towards the latter.

Loves Only You has been a consistent performer throughout her career, winning seven of fifteen starts and placing on a further five occasions.

She takes impressive winning form into the Hong Kong Cup after taking out the Group 1 Breeders’ Cup Fillies & Mares in the United States, and she will only improve for that effort.

Snow Fairy Handicap (1200m) – 8:10pm AEDT

Tip: No. 13 Lucky With You

Lucky With You hasn’t been seen at the races since July, but he was nothing short of outstanding during his debut prep, and he can make a winning return in the penultimate contest at the Hong Kong International Races.

The Artie Schiller gelding only just missed only debut here in June, and he charged home to score an impressive win at his only other appearance.

He has reportedly relished his time away from racing and he gets into this race well under the conditions.

Highland Reel Handicap (1400m) – 8:50pm AEDT

Tip: No. 1 Packing Victory

I’m happy to stick with Packing Victory in the last at Sha Tin on Sunday.

Packing Victory won each of his first two starts back this time with something in hand, and he was unlucky not to score again last time.

He steps out this week in peak condition and just requires some luck from barrier 12 to be in the finish once more.
