Jockey Jamie Kah could be back riding on Zipping Classic Day after having some success in her appeal at the Supreme Court over a two-month suspension handed down by the Victorian Racing Tribunal.

Kah was suspended for three months over the Mornington Airbnb gathering in August and suspended for a further two months in September for providing alleged false and or misleading evidence to Racing Victoria stewards during their inquiry.

Last season’s leading jockey accepted her initial three-month suspension but appealed the further two-month ban to the Supreme Court strenuously denying that she had given false or misleading evidence.

Kah could be the first of five jockeys to return to riding with her suspension ending at midnight on November 25.

The Group 2 Zipping Classic (2400m) will be run at Caulfield on November 27.

Ben Melham, Mark Zahra, Ethan Brown and apprentice Celine Gaudray were all suspended for their involvement in the Airbnb gathering while also receiving extra penalties for giving alleged false or misleading evidence.

In a statement on social media, Kah said she was looking forward to getting back to race riding.

“Today, as you probably know the Supreme Court determined my appeal,” the statement read.

“I am obviously very happy with the outcome. It’s now time to move forward.

“I can’t wait to get back to what I love, riding and being part of our amazing industry.

“Thanks to everyone who has said kind words to me or provided moral support over the last 3 months, it has been a real comfort through very tough times.

“As I said last time, I won’t be making any further public comment.

“See you at the races!!”
