The Gold Standard filly underlined her promise with a breathtaking win in the Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic (1200m) at Pinjarra on Sunday.

Coming from near last, Sheeza Belter launched a blistering run to score by one length and gave trainer Luke Fernie the biggest victory of his short career.

Bred by Mt Hallowell Stud, Sheeza Belter advanced her record to two wins and a second from three starts with earnings of $222, 400.

Managing part-owner and former top trainer, Justin Warwick, said he can’t wait to see Sheeza Belter continue her career in the eastern states.

“As soon as we can arrange a flight she is off to Sydney,” Warwick told The Races WA.

“I’ve left it to Peter on what path he should take.

“I’ve had a great association with Peter previously with Quilista and had great success.

“He’s trained plenty of good horses and is a good man.

“I just want to maximise the horses value and let her have a go at the next level.

“I have a huge opinion of the filly as everyone else would.

“Peter has stables in Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland.

“There are so many races for young horses.

“I can’t wait to get her over there.”

Peter Snowden said he was keen to renew his association with Warwick after Quilista won the Listed Bright Shadow (1200m) at Doomben in 2018.

He says he likes what Sheeza Belter has shown so far.

“From what I have seen of her she is pretty impressive,” Snowden said.

“I haven’t planned on anything yet with her, I’ll just see how she travels and settles in.

“She’s had the three starts and I’m not sure how much she has left.

“She shows a bit of promise.”
