Trainer Peter Snowden is hopeful his strong finish to the season continues as several of his promising young horses prepare to step out in coming weeks.
Among those already making an impression are Rosehill winner Raging Force, Infusion by I Am Invincible, Capitalist colt Caesar and Grand Prairie, who scored at Kensington. Snowden believes each of them has more to offer.
Next to return will be Tuileries, resuming in Saturday’s MyPlates Handicap (1200m) at Rosehill, and Amreekiyah, who is expected to race the following week.
“I’ve got a few nice fillies kicking off shortly, Tuileries and Amreeykiyah. They both showed a fair bit last time in,” Snowden said.
“I’m looking towards the carnival with them and I’m hoping to get a bit of a jump on the others.
“They will have good residual fitness on them and they’ll be third-up into those stakes races (next season).”
Tuileries, a So You Think filly, impressed last preparation with wins at Canterbury and Randwick before running seventh in the Magic Millions Guineas (1400m) at the Gold Coast after drawing widest in the field.
“She won her first two starts and she is an exciting filly,” Snowden said.
“She drew wide in the Magic Millions and if it wasn’t worth $2 million I wouldn’t have gone but she ran an incredible race.”
Amreekiyah, a daughter of Justify, won both her provincial starts earlier this year and recently claimed a Hawkesbury barrier trial. She’s nominated for a Canterbury race on Wednesday but could also appear at Randwick next weekend.
